Carolina Corona

Carolina Corona

When I was in middle school I completed my first painting. It happened after a day at the beach with my dad. We were taking a walk by the water and he found and picked up a piece of discarded fabric which had been ripped from a kid’s boogie board. The piece of fabric had an image of a wave depicted as a blue tiger jumping. My dad suggested that I paint it and we stopped at the store after leaving the beach. He bought me an oil painting kit and a canvas. That’s how my first painting was inspired. It was a moment that would define my life as a painter.

My work reflects the natural, a feeling of freedom and tranquility only found under the shelter of Mother Earth. From mountains to sea, I paint soulful images of American landscapes, flora, and fauna. I also paint portraits that tell stories of unique individuals and their lives. I do so in colorful and expressive watercolors and acrylics.

“After coming across Carolina’s booth at the street fair, I purchased 2 pieces. I later purchased 2 more and I will be purchasing more from her in the future. She has a way of capturing how I feel when I’m at the beach...Peaceful, calm, stress free along with the pure beauty of the sea. All her work is absolutely beautiful!!! Anyone looking for original artwork (especially if you live in WS, support local artists!) you should definitely check out her work!!! The fact that she is also a sweet and wonderful person is just an added bonus.”

“This young woman has an old, beautiful soul. Her paintings reflect her love for nature, Mother Earth, the beauty all around us and so much more. We commissioned her with another artist to paint our DJ table at our house. Each day she came I was thrilled to get to know her more and more and amazed at her abilities to paint anything!! Having her painting in our house brings such joy to us whenever we see it. She has such patience with everyone and teaches her art from kids to adults. I am looking forward to getting to know her even better, purchasing some more of her art and am so grateful to be able to call her my friend.”  -Donna P.

“We recently purchased two paintings for our home. One is a watercolor of woodpeckers in fall foliage and the other is an acrylic of wildflowers by a lake. I love seeing these colorful reflections of nature in my home, especially during these gray days of winter.”  -Marcia P

“I purchased a beautiful painting of Pilot Mountain captured in the fall. I love the fall season in North Carolina especially in the mountains. Carolina’s art of pilot mountain Is a wonderful reminder of my time in Winston-Salem. It makes me feel nostalgic and peaceful. I recommend her work 10/10.”  -Kellina S.
